Organised by the eCenter of Faculty of Organizational Sciences University of Maribor, European Commission and Government of the Republic of Slovenia the Bled eConference is one of the longest running ICT related conferences and has had and still has a substantial impact in the development of e-business.

General Introduction

Since 1988 the Bled eConference is bringing together business, government, technology providers and academic sphere on the subject of everything that has to do with "e".

The conference has a wide appeal, offering:

23rd Bled eConference Theme

Every year the program committee of 57 members from 21 countries decides on a working title for the next conference dedicated to presently most attractive research streams in the area of modern information and communication technology and solutions use in organizations, government, universities and society as a whole.

The theme for 2010 conference eTrust: Implications for the Individual, Enterprises and Society is reflecting an ongoing discussion about fundamental considerations for the growth and stability of markets and communities: trust. As emerging digital environments generate new ways of communication and interaction between individuals and individuals and organizations based on new infrastructures there is an increasing demand for a more reliable eWorld.

New eResponsiblities have to be taken by all stakeholders of the eWorld in order to cope with emerging eRisk challenges: businesses, governments, and individuals in their multiple roles as managers, politicians, employees, parents, citizens, etc.

Actions have to be taken on both the macro and the micro level, organizational configurations, process related issues, new kind of products and services, and necessary infrastructures and technologies as well as respective policies have to be discussed.

Who will participate?

The annual Bled eConference annually attracts around 200 delegates from all over the world and it has even larger audience through our website and international conference publications. The Bled eConference community is particularly well established in many European countries, Australia and the US. In past years there is a growing interest to participate from Asian countries and countries of North Africa.

All sponsors

  • will be acknowledged in all conference literature as sponsors.
  • will have their logo depicted in the conference programme as well as on the conference website (the website will stay online after the event).

  • will be allocated a half-page monochrome advertisement in the conference programme.

About Bled eConference Host

Bled eConference is hosted by eCenter of Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Maribor. Traditional venue of the conference is beautiful village of Bled and for the past years Golf Hotel Bled.

The Faculty of Organizational Sciences is a member of the University of Maribor and has been active in education and scientific research for over 50 years. More than 15,000 students have graduated from the Faculty and many of them now work as professionals and managers in diverse positions in business, education, health, public administration and other sectors.

The Faculty of Organizational Sciences covers the theory and practice of organizing business and work systems, information systems, human resources and educational systems. The faculty's educational activities take place within the pedagogic unit, which includes various chairs, the Information Technology Centre, the library and the INDOK centre. The scientific research activities are organized within the Institute for Organization and Management, the Research Centre and the individual laboratories. In addition, the Faculty includes the Centre for Education and Counselling and the Moderna organizacija publishing house. The Faculty publishes the scientific journal Organizacija, as well as several textbooks and professional books per year.

eCenter is a special unit of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences established in 1995 with the support of numerous interested organizations in Slovenia some of which had previously cooperated with the Faculty in the e-business national and international research projects ongoing at the Faculty since 1988. eCenter's main objective is establishing connections with business, government and research organizations around the world in the area of e-business implementation.
